Sensible Project Manager Hangout 7
“Project Management Lessons Learned” was the topic for the 7th hangout of the Sensible Project Manager Hangout Community. In this community of project managers and others who enjoy discussing project manager topics, we have a weekly hangout which is hosted via Google+ Hangout. These hangouts are held each Friday at 9:00am pacific time. Up to 10 people can join the hangout and those not making it to the hangout can view the conversation via Hangouts “On-Air”.
In this hangout +Mark Phillipy was joined by +Mohieddine Saddeh from Lebanon. During the hangout we discussed lessons we have learned from projects as well as tips on how to gather lessons learned for a project.
What are Lessons Learned?
- Knowledge or understanding gained by experience that has a significant impact for an organization.
- Database of lessons learned from projects which can be gathered from multiple projects in the organization and reviewed on a regular basis.
- Lessons learned on a project which you identify actions to correct or not repeat the issue which occurred on a project.
- Lessons learned should be gathered about processes and never about people on the project.
